WM Montgomery & Sons recently undertook a critical structural repair project at Merck’s facility in Irvine. The project involved comprehensive remediation of hazardous brickwork and enhancements to the building’s overall structural integrity.

The primary challenge was addressing the unsafe condition of the existing brickwork, which posed a risk to the facility’s safety and operational efficiency.

Our skilled team meticulously stripped the damaged brickwork and reconstructed it with enhanced materials and techniques. To ensure long-term durability and safety, we integrated the new brickwork with the existing steel columns. Additionally, we applied a roughcast finish to enhance both the aesthetic appeal and the environmental resistance of the building.
